TCI-1000 1000W Modified Sine Wave Inverter: Planning Flexible Battery Systems

A practical guide to planning the TCI-1000 1000W modified sine wave inverter across different battery voltages, AC standards and backup loads.

TCI-1000 1000W modified sine wave inverter rear angled battery terminals and LCD

The TCI-1000 is a practical step up for backup systems that need more capacity than a compact 350 W or 500 W inverter. It provides 1000 W rated modified sine wave output and is available in several DC battery and AC output configurations. For installers and distributors, the main task is to match the ordered voltage version with the battery bank, load profile and destination market.

Where the TCI-1000 fits

The listed TCI-1000 versions support 12 V, 24 V, 48 V, 60 V or 72 V DC input, depending on the order configuration. AC output options include 110 V, 120 V, 220 V, 230 V and 240 V, with 50 Hz or 60 Hz frequency available according to the required market. This gives the model a flexible place in compact off-grid systems, mobile backup packages and small commercial power kits.

The output waveform is modified sine wave. It can be suitable for compatible lighting, basic power supplies and other confirmed loads, but it should not be presented as a universal substitute for pure sine wave output. Motors, transformers, audio equipment and sensitive control electronics should be checked before the model is selected.

Confirm the battery version before quoting

A 1000 W inverter can draw substantial current from a low-voltage battery bank, so battery voltage is the first selection point. Before preparing a quotation, confirm:

  • the nominal DC battery voltage and the exact TCI-1000 version;
  • the AC output voltage, frequency and socket arrangement;
  • the continuous load, startup demand and expected operating time;
  • the battery capacity, cable length, fuse plan and ventilation conditions.

Do not select a higher-wattage model only because the number looks safer. A correctly matched battery bank and wiring system are essential for stable operation, especially on 12 V and 24 V versions.

Plan loads below the headline rating

The 1000 W rating is a planning reference, not a recommendation to operate continuously at the limit. Leave headroom for startup current, battery voltage drop and wiring losses. Add the running wattage of the intended loads and separately identify refrigerators, pumps, fans or other equipment with a starting surge.

The product information lists a color LCD, a 275 x 112 x 55 mm enclosure and a net weight of about 0.95 kg. It also lists protection for under-voltage, over-voltage, overload, short circuit and over-temperature. These functions support routine use, but correct load sizing and airflow remain part of the installation design.

Useful for multi-market product ranges

For a B2B product range, the TCI-1000 can be presented as a 1000 W platform with multiple battery and AC configurations. Keep each version clearly identified in the quotation, label and packing list. This is especially important when the same enclosure is supplied to markets using different battery voltages or AC standards.

See the TCI-1000 product page for the model reference. For a quotation or configuration check, send GERIXI the battery and load details.
